What is Grain "Terroir?"

Our soils are our most precious resource.  We are constantly asking them to store water, convert plant nutrients and exchange carbon.  The centerpiece of Cold Stream Malt and Grain is soil.  The flavor, texture and smell of our malt comes from the soil.  Every field that we grow barley on has a unique story.
